Kitab 2 Tawarikh pasal 8 dan 9
Kitab 2 Tawarikh Pasal 8, berisi tentang usaha dan kemasyuran Salomo dalam membangun Bait Allah, istana, dan kota-kota Salomo. Orang Kanaan yang masih tersisa, dijadikan orang rodi oleh Salomo, sedangkan orang Israel sebagai para pemimpin. Dia menetapkan rombongan para imam dan orang Lewi. Ketika hati kita terarah pada pekerjaan Allah, kita mendapati bahwa Bapa kita di surga akan memberikan keberhasilan dalam mencapainya.
Dalam Pasal 9, dalam pasal ini mengkisahkan kunjungan Ratu Sheba terhadap Raja Salomo, Ratu Syeba mengagumi hikmat Salomo. Disini juga kemegahan salomo ditunjukkan, yaitu penghasilan Salomo berupa emas, perisai-perisainya, takhta dari gading, kapal-kapalnya, pemberian-pemberian yang diperolehnya, kereta-kereta dan kuda-kudanya, upetinya, pemerintahan Salomo dan kematiannya. Mereka yang menghormati Allah, akan dihormati oleh-Nya. Pemerintahan Salomo adalah bukti dari berkat Tuhan tetapi juga pengingat pentingnya kesetiaan kepada Tuhan di luar kesuksesan materi.
